The Mind Building & Empowerment Foundation was founded by Quincy Effiong to alleviate the abuse faced daily by millions of women, girls, and children. A determined young woman and dedicated advocate for humanitarian causes, Quincy’s inspiration to establish MiBEF was deeply rooted in her personal experience.
Rather than allowing her painful experience to lead to self-destruction, she transformed her trauma into a healing balm for other victims of rape and sexual assault. Her unwavering passion for humanity became the driving force behind the birth of MiBEF.
Through her visionary leadership, Quincy Effiong has transformed the Mind Building & Empowerment Foundation (MiBEF) into a reputable institution focused on human and capacity development across Nigeria.
Alongside a team of dynamic, purpose-driven and highly motivated individuals, she has led numerous humanitarian and developmental programs, including sexual health advocacy initiatives aimed at protecting and promoting the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of women, children, and girls.
MiBEF has successfully carried out sensitization campaigns, awareness drives, advocacy programs, empowerment initiatives, enlightenment outreaches, education and training for over 2,000 women and girls across communities.
